2D Data Matrix: Error #3756

I'm trying to print a label with a 2D Data Matrix with two Data Sources coming from a text file. One is a Serial Number and the other a Model Number. There is a specific Prefix needed for both the Serial and Model Numbers in order to work. When I try printing though, the error message comes up:

The Serial # is first with a prefix of: {)>06S

The Model # is second with the prefix of: P

I thought that these Data Matrices could handle many characters which is why I'm confused as to the "Input data exceeds the maximum capacity of Data Matrix" error.

Any thoughts?

  Howdy. It's a pity this has been sitting here for a while with no answer. I'd made the assumption that you had already discovered that. This reply may help others in future.

  I had the same issue and had difficulty finding the answer. It turns out the it's the size of the code is the issue.

  I had mine set at 24 x 24. I changed it to 26 x 26, adjusted the print size and all is well.
