    Hello Lyndon and Jon,

I hope you're doing well! I wanted to provide some information about virtual machines and their compatibility with our software. Currently, we offer full support for VMWare products, as they have been extensively tested for compatibility. However, we haven't tested Parallels Desktops and other Virtual Machine products for compatibility issues.

If you're interested, I'd be happy to create a feature request for you. Please note that we cannot provide an estimated time of arrival for the implementation of this feature in BarTender.

Thank you for your understanding and please let me know if you have any further questions!

I use Parallels but since upgrading to a MacBook Pro with M1 processor, I've been using UTM. Currently unable to run BarTender or Parallels or Fusion using Apple chips but UTM can emulate  windows 64bit on M1. It is slow though.

If you can put in a feature request for a version to run on a Mac M1 running Fusion or Parallels on Windows ARM architecture that would be good.

    Hi Xabier,

Thank you so much for your follow up. That is appreciated. I've been using BarTender with VMWare Fusion on an Intel Mac for many years. It wasn't until I got a new Apple Silicon MacBook Pro (M2 Max) that I encountered issues. I believe is has something to do with compatibility with Windows 11 ARM (Not Intel). If you could please submit a feature request for compatibility with the ARM version of Windows, that would be great. Thank you!

    Cheers,
    Jon

Hi Xabier. We have the same issue. Update to a M2 Mac but unable to run Seagull Printerdrivers or Software on Parallels with Windows 11.  Looking forward for a solution. Like this it is no option to go for a never version of it.

    Best regards. Manuel

Hi Xavier, I can only agree with the request. It would be so great to run this software on VM Ware with Macs M1 and M2

Any solution yet for this problem? I still keep getting error code 2622.

    Hello,

this is because BarTender uses some "low-level" components that cant be handled in ARM versions of systems. Same for the drivers. They are all based on x86 or x64 systems and are low level, so cant be installed onto ARM systems.

You have to wait until printer vendors will compile the drivers also to be compatible under ARM platforms.
