Set a default value for my query prompt.
Hi Guys,
I am trying to set a default value for my query prompt but I cannot figure out how to do it.
When the user goes to print a label, they will be prompted with a 'Enter Data For Query' window, in which they will enter their username, if the username has a record in the database, these correct product and amount of labels will show and print.
However I want to stop the user from entering their username every time this window appears, I am aware that there is a tickbox to set the default value to the last used value, however I would prefer for BarTender to take the username of the user logged onto the machine.
I have tried doing this through VB Script by using 'Value = Application.SystemUserName ' however that doesn't populate the 'Enter Username:' Window.
Any ideas how I can work around this? Ideally not using a Batch Script..

Try adding the User Name field on from the Print Job Fields list in the Data Sources toolbox. The user can overtype that value if they wish but the default will be the user logged onto the PC
