If we cannot automate clicking "Print" icon and "Print" button, then could clicking "Print" icon and "Print" button be replaced by scanning one or two QR codes?

If you have not already done so I would link the user input fields on to entry boxes on the Data Entry Form and then on the File>Print>Options tab select the Repeat data entry until cancelled option so that after you print one label BarTender reopens the Data Entry Form so the users can enter the next set of data again eliminating the need to click the first Print option after the first time.

You can also enable an option in the entry fields that the data is being entered by a barcode scanner which should automatically tab out of the entry field once the data is scanned.

To make the system print after scanning then you would need to move the cursor on to the Print button and press enter. You could achieve this in one of two ways, either by programming extra suffix characters into your scanner so that it send the data and then the appropriate number of tabs and then an enter or else create a barcode, as you suggest, that does this and have the users scan this after the code.

    Hi Peter,

Thank you very much for your quick reply.

As you correctly assumed, the user input fields were already linked to the entry boxes on the Data Entry Form.

I checked the Repeat data entry until cancelled checkbox on the File>Print>Options.

Now I need to click Print only the first time I print a label. Then the Data Entry Form stays open and waits for me to scan the next label.

    That solves this ticket.

    P. S. What would have been the option you mention as an alternative that would have enabled the automatic re-opening of the Data Entry Form after scanning the input data from a bar or QR code?

    Thank you.

    Warm regards

    Rudy

    Hi Peter

Thank you for your quick reply.

    That answers my question.

I forgot to mention in my previous posting that I also checked the Data is inserted by barcode scanner checkbox.

Thus, I checked both the Repeat data entry until cancelled and the Data is inserted by barcode scanner checkboxes.

    Thank you.

    Rudy
