    Hello Gomathi,

Thank you for reaching us via our Community Forums.

The error message you received, "connect ENETUNREACH," indicates that the client machine is unable to establish a network connection to the specified IP address and port. This error typically occurs when there is no network connectivity or when the destination server is not reachable.

To resolve this issue, you can try the following steps:

    • Check your network connectivity: Ensure that your machine has a stable internet connection. You can try accessing other websites or services to verify connectivity.
    • Verify the IP address and port: Double-check the IP address and port you are using in your API call. Make sure they are correct and correspond to the BarTender REST API server.
    • Check firewall and proxy settings: If you are behind a firewall or using a proxy server, ensure that the necessary ports and protocols are allowed for outbound connections. You may need to consult with your network administrator or IT department to verify and adjust these settings.
    • Test with a different machine or network: If possible, try running the API call from a different machine or network to see if the issue persists. This can help determine if the problem is specific to your current setup.
    • Contact BarTender Support: If the issue persists after trying the above steps, we would recommend reaching out to our Technical Support Services for further assistance. Our technicians can provide specific guidance based on your setup.

Let us know if by following these steps you are able to receive a response from the BarTender REST API.

On a standard automation installation your API is located on port 5159
Eg the url should be http://localhost:5159/api/actions
