Type mismatch error due to database connection error (?)
Hi everyone,
Currently I'm setting up for my database (excel to Bartender), due to some reason I can not open the bartender file to print out when open the excel database (while other label and excel file works fine). Whenever I open the excel file, I saw Error with database connection said that Error: Type mismatch in expression, but when I close the excel file it can work normally.
This also happend when I try to print. Anyone know how to solve this problem ? Thank you so much for helping me !
I have put the sample file for you to see.

That is a limitation of Excel, only one "person" can open an Excel file with full rights at a time and in this instance BarTender counts as a person.
If you ever open an Excel document that one of your colleagues also has open then you will get a message that it will open in Read Only mode, BarTender/the ODBC driver gets this message too and as that does not afford sufficient writes it instead fails to connect to the spreadsheet. There is no way round this as far as I am aware when using a single spreadsheet

Thank you Peter,
But as far as I know, there are some excel and Bartender link in other file that can work when I open both files, so what is the difference that make it can open both files ?

Not that I am aware of unless the Excel document is converted to a different format (CSV or Txt for example)
