Label orientation design vs printing

Label is 76 x 50mm and text will read on a portrait orientation of the label - if I design it this orientation in Designer can I get it to print out Landscape orientation as the reel of label is the 76mm as the leading edge.

  So if I understand you correctly you want to design the label in one orientation but then print it in another? 

  If so then yes you can do that, by setting the correct label dimension but then adjust the orientation to landscape in the page setup as you can see in the image below:

  

   

  I would normally do this before adding any fields to the label as if you adjust this afterwards you will need to rotate the fields by 90 degrees too.

  Thanks Peter, when it prints the text needs to stay the same as in the design version. In your example above the text stays in the same orientation.
