Licencing Query

Hello,

 

After evaluating the demo copy we decided to purchase the Automation version (3 printer) and have successfully installed on 2 PC's now.

 

However, when we try to print on either of these PC's, there is a message to say 'cannot locate licence server on network'

 

As there were no instructions with the internet download from the supplier i'm guessing some key information/instructions have been missed?

 

Please could you advise?

  The Seagull License Server is a small piece that is installable as an option during the main installation. It should go on a PC that is accessible from all clients (so usually a server, but not required to be). This is what keeps track of your printer licenses, and clients "Check in" with the license server for printing.

  Thanks but I still have an issue.

   

  I have installed the Licence Server and Remote Administration onto either the F&P Server or even just another desktop on the domain. I've ensured the service is running however I still get the message to say that the licence server cannot be located on the network whenever I try to print.

   

  Any further ideas?

  Managed to sort it.

   

  In the client, went in to Administer, Licencing and unchecked and checked the 'Automatically find Licence Server'.

   

  This found the server immediately
