Initial Installation Of Print Station
I'm getting close to setting up a 20 license Enterprise Automation edition for a client. I'm implementing the Print Station companion to limit users from making unwanted changes to label designs in Bartender, and as well for simplicity for the user. I will obviously install the license server on their server and Bartender on a few administrator workstations. Now I need to know if(or is it required), to install Bartender along with the Print Station on the user workstations that will be doing all the actually printing of labels. Do both apps have to be installed, or can I just install Print Station alone?

It is BarTender that does the printing, Print Station acts only as a "front-end" to the print operator, and so yes BarTender does need to be installed as well. If you need to secure the software and the label formats; I suggest that you take a look at the various options for that in the below white paper.

Hi,
I'm planning to buy the Bartender for about 10 printers, one user will use the designer, and the other 9 will only print. I that situation the license for 10 printers permits to install the bartender "print station" on any PC or we must buy a license for each PC that use the "Print Station".

Assuming the Automation or Enterprise Automation edition will be purchased, licensing is based on the number of printers that you print to, not where the BarTender software is installed. With such editions you can install BarTender with Print Station on as many computers as you wish. 0
