Datamax 64 Bit Driver Issue Folgen
I am setting up a print server (fairly new to this, so please bear with me) with Windows 2008 R2. I have been successful in installing and testing both 32 bit and 64 bit drivers for the Lexmarks, Canons and HPs but having trouble with the Datamax and Zebra drivers. I installed the drivers the same way as the rest - first installed a printer with the 64 bit driver then added the 32 bit driver, and when double-checking the Additional Drivers on the Sharing tab both x64 and x86 are checked. I can install the printers on a XP box without issue, but when installing on a Windows 7 box I'm being asked to install the driver, which requires local admin. If I log on to a Windows 7 box with admin priviliges and install the printer, the driver will install, then I can install the printer under other non-admin profiles without issue - but we do not grant our users local admin, and do not want to have to log on each pc to install the driver. I've tried turning off bi-directional support with no change. I'm using Datamax DPL version 7.3.3, Build Target x64, Build Date 5/2/2013. I would appreciate any assistance.......
