Qty Of Labels
I'm using database to pull all information for my labels. In dB there is a field showing how many labels need be printed for each data set. How I can link this to BarTender to use this when printing ?

From the Print dialog click the properties button next to the value for the quantity. In the dialog that opens choose to set the quantity by data source. A data source tab should appear from which you can set a database field data source type choosing the relevant field.

Taking it a step further. If I set up the print to get the copies from a data source, how do I print a selected number when needed?
Example: I printed 48 labels. However, the bagging machine destroyed 5. Now I need to reprint only 5 labels. I am printing using the Web Print server. Is there a way to override the qty in the data source and print a select few?

Normally I would direct you to use the Reprint Console for re-printing such labels. However, as you're printing via WPS, which has no like reprint capability, I suggest you setup a different label design that is data sourced differently (with data entry prompts), which has the sole task of reprinting labels in an ad-hoc fashion.

Another issue. I am creating a *.csv file with 36 records in it. When I print using the Web Print Server, it prints one record, pauses, prints one record pauses, etc. When it prints, my printer (Paxar 9855) shows "Printing 1 of 1"... Is it reading each record as a separate batch? How can I get it to read the file and print as one job? It should show me "Printing 1 of 36".

This is down to how the printer handles variable data in a print file. Even when optimised, the print code will have to set the variable record data for the various label objects, on a per label basis. After each record, where the variable data objects are set with their data, will have an issue command which is executed in order for that label to print. The LCD on the printer is showing the print quantity for that issue command. Note that for a single, multi-record print job, there will be an equal number of issue commands. This is just the way it is for all print languages on all thermal barcode printers.

I am printing one label using the Web Print Server or bartender... it does the same for each. The information for the label is manually entered and I am selecting 10 copies. Bartender is treating each copy as a separate label format and is pausing between each label instead of printing the copies continuously. I tried to attach a copy of the printer file (*prn) for your review but was denied uploading that type of file. The printer file has 10 separate print groups showing quantity = 1. That is not the way it should work is it?

Note that the Web Print Server still uses BarTender to generate the printer code.
Assuming the print file has a .prn file extension you can upload it to the forum post.
Just to clarify, are you attempting to print one record of data with 10 identical copies, or 10 records with one label for each?
