Dynamics Sl Integration
Hello Everybody,
I want some information regarding Integration with BarTender. I am using Microsoft Dynamics SL(ERP) and I want to print labels using BarTender. So, I need help that how can i integrate Microsoft Dynamics SL with BarTender and how can I import data from external application(Dynamics SL). Is there any manual or video available to explain the integration process. Please Kindly post if any. Thanks in advance.

As you might imagine there are many systems out there of various types so we don't have materials giving a specific "how to" on each and every one of them. The exception there being for the likes of Oracle and SAP. Certainly the are a number of ways in which you could integrate BarTender with Microsoft Dynamics SL(ERP), I suggest you take a look at the below white papers and decide on which makes the most sense for yourselves. As a default start position, I'd be minded to make use of the Integrations Platform in BarTender 2016.

arif6666: You'll first need to create a BarTender Engine instance object and start it:
Engine btEngine = new Engine(true)
Set the name substrings like so:
btFormat.SubStrings["FullName"].Value = "John Doe";
Note: In the above example you'll need to have a "FullName" named data source in your BarTender document. Set the name of the data source in the properties dialog of that data source.
Print like this:
btFormat.Print();
...although you might want to overload it with the print job name and message arguments.
Be sure to check the BarTender Help system as we have a full reference together with code examples on how to build your own projects with the .NET SDK.
Lastly, if programming isn't your area of expertise, then perhaps making use of the Integrations Platform in BarTender 2016, or Commander in older versions is a better way to go...
