Licensing Setup Missing
I have installed Bartender V 10 over the weekend on 4 of my sites and a central server. The central server contains the SLS and a copy of bartender. However none of my 4 sites has the option Administer->Licensing Setup and I am unable to point it to the licensing server.
I have uninstalled, reinstalled and tried modifying the BTLM configuration file.
When the initial install was done it advised me that it could not find the licensing server automatically. However the bartender version on the server where the licensing server is installed has this option.
I Have tried activating it as described in another thread by going to help-Activation Wizzard. But it then gives me an error that it is already activated on another mavhine and I must deactivate the existing machine.

You've got the License Server installed on the other machines, that's why it's not letting you activate. You'll want to modify the BarTender install, remove the License Server from it, then activate BarTender.

Thanks for the response. Does that not then defy the purpose of SLS. we will be launching 4 more warehouse in the next 4 months. Reading what has been said her it will mean that I will have to uninstall SLS every time when I register a new site?

Seagull License Server needs to be installed centrally on only one computer of your network. However, as BT now only uses a unique installer for every Seagull application, you've by accident chosen to install Seagull License Server as well as BarTender on more than one computer of your network. Please note that the option to install "Seagull License Server" isn't turned on by default, you need to choose it explicitly. As Mike T mentioned, on those computers where you installed SLS by accident, you need to modify the BT installation and remove SLS (and avoid selecting SLS when just wanting to install BT on your next installations).

I too am having this same problem. The Administer -> Licensing Setup option is not present. I have uninstalled the License Server and have uninstalled and re-installed BarTender numerous times. I have been able to install BarTender and have it connect to the License server on my Windows 7 workstation but cannot get it to connect from a Windows 2008 Server.
My installation details:
BarTender License Server
v10.1 Build 2926 (Windows Server 2008)
BarTender non License Server (no License Setup menu)
v10.1 Build 2934 (Windows Server 2008)
License server may have been installed at one point, but it definitely is not installed now. Any ideas?

On the PC where BarTender doesn't display the "Administer > Licensing Setup" dialog, is BarTender activated? You can find this out by going to the "Help > About" dialog from BarTender. If BarTender isn't activated, you will first need to activate it (via the "Help > Activate this Software" dialog).
BTW, when you get the chance, please upgrade BarTender and Seagull License Server to its latest service release:

On the PC where BarTender doesn't display the "Administer > Licensing Setup" dialog, is BarTender activated?
If you are trying to use licensing to activate, how could it already be activated already?
Licensing Setup is not present because Bartender is not activated.
Bartender is not activated because you can't enter into the licensing dialog.
UPDATE: It is not entirely clear (to me) in Bartender documentation, but the Product Key Code that is used to activate the licensing server is the same for all the computers with Bartender that point to that server. After I activated Bartender using that code, the Licensing Setup appeared.
