Hi, nRyder:

Thank you very much for the suggestions on print station.

    For the below you mention

    1) There's no navigation system. We can't set up folders of formats within the Print Station.
=> The Control and Customize icon, located in the top right hand corner of the application, can be used to control and configure Print Station. You can setup folders from "Bartender Print Station setup" option

    2) There's no search function - so anyone with over 30 formats or so to choose from gets into a cumbersome situation
=> On the right bottom of print station, there are Size, Simple Item view, Verbose item view, Sort items.. icons. In Sort items, it can be arranged in the browser by file type or by name. Does it fit your purpose?

    3) There are very limited keyboard shortcuts - all print functions must be sent via mouse or touch-screen without the option to accept keyboard shortcuts.
=> Can you provide a actual example or elaborate more on your preferences on specific GUI for shortcuts actions? After clarifying with you more, I will file requests for your suggestions on print station.

    Thanks!

In general, we view our development of Print Station as incomplete and we do hope to improve it incrementally with each new release. Thanks for your suggestions, such features make perfect sense and have been requested before; they are being considered for future development.

Rather than start a new thread, I will post my new idea here:

    - Multiple Setups

I want to be able to File > Save as, a print station setup. So that one workstation can have multiple Print Station profiles that link to different folders.

    Hello,

We currently allow behavior very similar to this in Print Station. You can actually use Print Station’s Command Lines to change the startup behavior for Print Station. This would allow you create multiple Print Station shortcuts that each point to a different folder.

I’ve copied the following topic from our Help system. Let me know if this is clear enough, and if this is what you are looking for:

    Creating and Customizing Application Shortcuts

The following instructions walk you through how to create a shortcut to Print Station, so that you can configure the start-up behavior of the application.

Click Start and hover over All Programs.

Click once on the BarTenderdirectory to display the contents.

Open the context menu for Print Station (usually right click).

Select Send To, followed by Desktop to create a shortcut to Print Station on the Desktop of your computer.
To customize your shortcut with command line parameters, use the following steps:

Open the context menu for your newly created Print Station shortcut (usually right click).

Select Properties to display the Print Station Properties dialog.

On the General tab, you can modify the default name of the shortcut to something more descriptive, such as "Print Production Labels"

On the Shortcut tab, you can add and/or modify command line parameters, or append a comment to the shortcut:

Target defines the file location of the application executable. You can add command line parameters to the end of this text box to customize Print Station's start-up behavior. The following Target value will open Print Station in Full Screen mode and display all BarTender documents saved on the Desktop:
"C:\Program Files\Seagull\BarTender Suite\PrintStation.exe"
    /FullScreen /Folder="C:\Users\MyUser\Desktop"

Comment defines the text that appears in the tooltip when you hover the pointer over the shortcut icon. You can replace Print Station's default text by removing it, and entering a customized comment.
