Scan Aztec Code - Print Label
I am trying to achieve the steps below. We have had the sheets of Aztec codes made for us by an outside company, but would like to be able to this internally. I have been able to complete steps 1 & 2, but when I scan the Aztec code, the printer just prints out the Aztec code again. I am using a Zebra LP2824 printer to print the labels. Label templates do not need to be downloaded to the printer. We simply scan the Aztec code, and the appropriate label prints.
1. Create a label design, complete with text & barcodes, then print it to a file.
2. Create a new Aztec label and import the data created in step 1.
3. Print the Aztec label, and use a scan gun to scan this label, which in turn prints out the origina label design
We distribute the Aztec printouts to our various office location who can then print their required labels using the Aztec as a source.
Thank you

Hello,
- What Edition, Version and Build of BarTender is in use? Also, on which version of Windows are you working and which printer driver (and version) have you installed for your printer?
- Why do you need to "print to file", rather than directly printing, in step 1?
- Please send me the BarTender documents and print files which correspond to step 1 and 2.
- Finally, when you're scanning the Aztec label in step 3, is BarTender's data entry form dialog open at that point? Can you send me a PDF sample of one of these labels for me to examine?

Thank you for responding
We have Bartender Professional Version 10.0 Build 2821 running on Windows 7 Professional
In the scan sample pdf, there is a sheet of Aztec codes, the person scans a code, then the second sheet is quantity to print, the person would then scan the quantity of labels to print. Then the 3rd item in the pdf is the label that prints out. The scanner is connected directly to the printer. There is no connection to a computer. All the print data is contained in the Aztec code.
I am working with Document1.btw , I printed to file and the contents are in Output10.txt .
I then create a new label, and load the information in the txt file into the embedded data section for the barcode to create the Aztec code - please see attachment Aztec Barcode Info.doc
This is the process I had been told to follow.
