    Hello Alex,

Currently Print Station shows 2 error messages for a error, one from BarTender and one from Print Station. Message setup would disable message from BarTender, however another message still shown after print. We're aware of the issue and planning to fix in future versions. Thank you for the report.

Besides, what is the error? Would that be avoided by other setup?

    Hello Shotaro,

Thanks for the question, In the meantime I've found a workaround so the issue is less urgent.

We use Bartender/Printstation for creating pallet specifications for our goods. The Pallet ID is scanned with a barcode scanner, the size is also scanned from a size table with barcodes. Upon this information, VB script retrieves additional information (cust order, reference, item weight etc...) from our SQL database, but also writes back the scanned size information to the database. Then the layout is created and printed.

    This works fine.

But for some orders a huge amount of pallets must be shipped and instead of printing each pallet specification for each pallet, which takes a while, these pallets are combined on one master specification. However we still want the writes back to the database when the size is scanned.

So I made a checkbox which can be ticked to avoid something being printed (but the VB script does write back to the database). Thus... the error message is... There is nothing to print. In BT I can suppress this message, I could not in Print Station which is where the end users work in.

It has now been solved by only printing a blank template page. In the printer, there is a setting that blank pages will not be printed. At the end the result is the same. Nothing is being printed. But the scanned size information is passed to the database.

Still, I think it would be a usefull feature for the future versions. For me as BT label designer it is less important to suppress messages than for the end users who just work and do not want to do debugging themselves.

    Regards,

    Alex
