Can't Set Up System Databasea
I cannot set up my system database because my BarTender System Service won't start/run. I've tried a couple different user IDs that DO work on other machines. The System DB is a shared DB on a corporate SQL Server box.
The only difference between the machines that work and those that don't is that IE is locked down on the problem machines to prevent production workers from surfing the net, playing with their vacation, etc. while on the floor.
Could the issue be IE locked down?

Hello,
My first guess is that there is some kind of problem with the security settings for the user you are trying to run the BarTender System Service under. However, without more information it is difficult to take any real guesses here.
What Operating System is this, and what version and build of BarTender are you using? Do you get a specific error message when you attempt to start the service?

We resolved this by moving the machine into an OU that allows internet access. 0
