Bug Report: Unchecked growth of Temp folder impacts print job speed
Driver version: 2022.1
Printer: Toshiba TEC SA4T
Our users were reporting that one PC was taking minutes to send print jobs to a label printer. After much detective work, I have tracked the issue down to the Seagull Driver not cleaning up the tmp files it creates. Looking at procmon during the printing process, I can see that it tries to create temp files with an ascending ID, it does that by counting up when a name is already taken.
Due to the fact that there were around 600k files, this took several minutes. After cleaning out the temp folder the print jobs now start instantly. When does the driver clean these files up?
I updated the driver to the newest version now and I hope that the bug is fixed there. Thank you.
