Commander/File Integration detects a trigger file and is renamed immediately, but the labels take 20-30 seconds to print physically.
In this particular instance, when trying to open the Windows print queue to monitor printing, the error "The printer driver cannot connect to the network printer..." popped up.
This error usually indicates there is an issue with bidirectional communication between the printer driver and physical printer.
Any version of BarTender using Commander/Integration.
- Turn off bidirectional communication in the printer driver by doing the following:
- Login into the Windows Print Server
- Go into the Windows control panel->devices/printers->right click on the printer->go to printer properties->ports tab
- Uncheck the option "enable bidirectional communication support" to turn off bidirectional on the print server.
