Embedding images into a BarTender template
Overview
Embedded pictures become a permanent part of a BarTender document, so even if the original picture file is moved, deleted or renamed, the picture in your template remains the same. This is the easiest type of picture to work with.
There are several methods you can use to embed the picture.
Embedding Pictures via the "Drag and Drop" Method
Locate the image that you want to import in Windows Explorer.
Click on the image file, and drag it to a document open in BarTender.
Release the mouse to insert the image on the template.
Insert from File
Select the icon on the object toolbar to display a list of all picture sources. Alternatively, select Picture from the Create menu.
Select Insert from File to open the Select Picture dialog.
In the Location field, navigate to the drive and/or directory that contains the desired picture file.
Select the desired picture file.
Click Select to return to the template.
Click at the desired location on the template to add the picture.
Insert from Scanner or Camera
Select the icon on the object toolbar to display a list of all picture sources. Alternatively, select Picture from the Create menu.
Select Insert from Scanner or Camera to open the Scanner and Camera Setup dialog.
Select the device containing the picture(s) you wish to add to your template.
Click OK to open the Get Pictures dialog.
Select the desired picture(s).
Click Get Pictures to insert the image on your template.
Insert from Clip Art Collection
Select the icon on the object toolbar to display a list of all picture sources. Alternatively, select Picture from the Create menu.
Select Insert from Clip Art Collection to open the Select Clip Art dialog.
In the Search field, enter a term to search for.
Press Enter. The Select Clip Art dialog will display all images matching the term.
Select the desired picture from the returned results.
Click Select to return to the template.
Click at the desired location on the template to add the picture.
