Print History and Reprint in BarTender Cloud
Overview
Print History has powerful tools for searching, reviewing and reprinting your print job history as well as the individual print items it contains.
This article will provide an overview of the Print History page and the different options it provides for visualizing your data.

Print History
This page allows users to review the individual print jobs in BarTender Cloud.
To access the Print History page, follow the steps below:
- Click the Print icon in the Navigation menu on the left.
- Select Print History/Reprint from the dropdown.
Print History provides 2 different views optimized for specific use cases:
- List view: For users with large datasets list view has been optimized for data density and quickly filtering your data
- Image view: Image view is optimized for quickly previewing print jobs and is intended to facilitate reprinting tasks for print operators
You can switch between List view and Image view by using the corresponding tabs in the top-right:
List View
List view displays print history as a vertically scrolling list of records along with several controls and filtering options above the table:
- At the top, from left to right, you'll find:
- A dropdown on the left to filter print jobs or items by date range
- A dropdown on the left to group print jobs or items by various properties
- A search button on the right to find a specific print job or item
- A toggle button to show/hide the filter options above each column in the table
- A drop down which allows you to show/hide the columns in the table
- Below that are several tabs to specify how print jobs are displayed:
- The tabs on the left allow you to choose between organizing print history by print job or by printed item
- On the right, choose between List and Image views
- A filter field is shown above each column. If it does not appear you can enable this using the toggle button mentioned above
Print History Stats
At the bottom is access to a variety of statistics related to your BarTender Cloud print activity.
Reprinting
In BarTender Cloud, reprint functionality is directly accessible via your Print History. Reprint allows users to reprint a full job, one or more pages of a job, or one or more items of a job.
For reprint jobs within the history, the reprinted column within the history table includes the job ID that it was reprinted from. A Reprint suffix is added to the job name for the reprint. When you reprint a reprint job the original job will be used for the reprint.
Reprint Dialog
Clicking the reprint button will bring up a popup which shows a horizontal scroll list with the full job that will be printed:
- Each item is composed of a preview image and a page and item number below it.
- Data on each item can be viewed by clicking on the image for the item.
- Reprint comment is a mandatory field.
- The printer dropdown will allow you to select between your available local, remote, and PDF printers.
- The number of items printed will be shown in the reprint button.
Image View
In Image view Print History is shown as a horizontally scrolling set of cards containing a preview image of the printed item. This view is specifically designed to facilitate reprinting:
- At the top, from left to right, you'll find:
- A dropdown on the left to filter print jobs or items by date range.
- A button to sort cards by date.
- A dropdown to choose between different sizes for the preview image.
- A search button on the right to find a specific print job or item.
- A toggle button to show/hide the filter options above each column in the table.
- A drop-down that allows you to show/hide individual filter options.
- Below that, several filters allow you to specify which print jobs to display.
- Some tabs allow you to specify how print history data is displayed:
- On the left, choose between organizing print history by page or by printed item.
- On the right, choose between List and Image views.
- Each card consists of the following elements:
- A checkbox at the top to select it for reprinting. A Reprint button below the cards allows you to reprint all selected cards
- A dropdown to quickly select a single card, a range or an entire document for reprinting.
- This Page: Select cards one by one (default)
- Select Range: Select the first and last card in a range. All cards in between will be autoselected.
- Entire Document: Equivalent to printing an entire job within the list view.
- A preview image for the item or page.
- Information related to the item or page.
