How to Use the Common Template Library
An active Maintenance & Support Agreement or subscription is required to access the Common Template Library.
After updating to BarTender 11.4, launch BarTender Designer.
- Once the Welcome dialog appears, Click Start a new BarTender document... to launch the New Document Wizard.
- Choose the Select template from library radial button and then click Select. The Common Template Library will open.
- Click on your template to make your selection. Click Add Filter at the top of the screen to narrow your options using various criteria.
- Selecting a template will take you back to the New Document Wizard. Your chosen template will appear as a thumbnail on the right. If you wish, you can use the checkbox to enable Data Entry Forms on your label.
- Click Next to continue the new document configuration process or Finish to launch your label in Designer as-is.
How to Access Legacy Templates
If you can't access the Common Template Library or prefer the legacy templates, you can still access them by navigating to them manually in File Explorer.
- Navigate to C:\Program Files\Seagull\BarTender 11.4\Templates.
- Double-clicking on a template will open it in BarTender Designer. Use File > Save As to create a new label separate from the template.
