Integration - Symbols not printing correctly Follow

Symptom

When printing through the Integration Platform, certain symbols like trademark symbols don't print correctly.

Environment

 BarTender 2016 and later

Integration Platform

Fix/Answer

  • Verify the file trigger and data is being sent and saved as UTF-8 encoding. Some notepad applications will tell you the encoding version in the UI. (Notepad itself will not)
  • In the Integration file, go under Integration->Input data->verify the input encoding is set to Unicode (UTF-8)
  • Redeployed the Integration to apply the changes.
