Applicable To
BarTender 2016 and later.
Answer
To create a barcode with inverse colors, open BarTender Designer and follow these steps:
- Place a new barcode object on your document.
- Right-click on the barcode object and select Properties.
- Select the Symbology and Size tab on the left-hand side and set the Color to White.
- Select the Border tab and enable a border on the barcode.
- Set the Fill color of this border to Black.
- Adjust border spacing as necessary to cover the quiet zone for the barcode.
- The box will now size as the barcode gets larger or smaller.
If you wish the human-readable text to appear on the new black background, select the Font tab in the barcode object's Properties menu and check the White on black checkbox.
