When using Bartender, how do you change the default file location for BarTender documents and other resources?

Answer

The way to do this is through the Administration console companion app.

Once opened just change the default path on the File Locations like this:

After that you should restart Bartender and you should see the changes take effect.

If you still don´t have the Administration console app installed you should do so first by going to Control Panel >> Programs and Features >> Bartender >> Modify . Make sure the Administration Console app is checked to install it.
