Symptom

You encounter this error when attempting to install a Seagull printer driver using the Seagull Driver Wizard: "The service cannot be started, either because it is disabled or because it has no enabled devices associated with it."

Environment

BarTender 2016 and later.

Seagull Driver Wizard.

Solution

Follow these steps to resolve the issue:

1. Open the Windows Services application and find the Print Spooler service.
2. If it is not running, Start it.
3. Right-click on the Print Spooler service and select Properties.
4. Change the Startup type to Automatic, which should prevent this error from recurring.
5. Click Apply and then OK.
