Symptom

The View Database Size administrative task under Administration Console pops up empty, or doesn't pop up the first time you click on it.

BarTender v2016 and later

Fix/Answer

The Windows or SQL Server account you've used to connect to the BarTender system database lacks the "View Database State" permission over the System database. 

1. Open SQL Management Studio.
2. Right click on the System Database.
3. Choose Properties.
4. Select Permissions.
5. Select the user you want to give permissions.
6. Enable "View Database State" permission.
