Symptom

You will see the following errors when trying to open the Printer Maestro UI or start the Windows service.

• Service Not Running - The Printer Maestro service is not running. You must start the service for this application to be fully functional.
• When you try to start the Printer Maestro service manually through the Windows Services list, you get the following error: "The Printer Maestro service on Local Computer started and then stopped. Some services stop automatically if they are not in use by other services or programs."
• You will also get the following error in the Windows Event viewer: "Service cannot be started. System.IO.FileNotFoundException: Could not load file or assembly 'DriverInteropLibrary.dll' or one of its dependencies. The specified module could not be found..."

Environment

• BarTender 2016 R8 x64 (This issue most likely can affect other versions of BarTender.)
• Windows Server 2012 R2

Fix/Answer

Install Windows Update (KB2999226) here for Windows Server 2012 R2.
