Symptom

When using a GHS sample template, you notice that moving a pictogram causes the pictogram to print off of the label or page. This is seen in Print Preview and on the printed label.

Environment

BarTender 2019 and later.

Solution

This can occur if the Pictogram Area object on the GHS template sample was created with an Object Reference Point anchored at the top left. The Snap to Object or Ruler setting causes the Object Reference Point to shift to a different position when the pictogram object is re-positioned manually. To fix the problem, follow these steps:

1. Move the red Pictogram Area to the position you want on the label.
2. The Snap to Object or Ruler setting is On by default. Click the icon to turn it Off.
3. Right-click on the red Pictogram Area and click Properties. Use the drop-down menu to reset the Position Anchor to Top Left.

Your pictograms will now appear correctly in the desired area.
