Symptoms

When trying to print or print preview, a transparent image placed on the label appears to be cutoff or partially rendered. For example, you might see something like this:

Solution

There is a limitation of the renderer used underneath BarTender where certain transparent images cannot be rendered. To work around this issue, you'll need to modify the way the renderer is handling transparent images.

1. Open regedit
2. Navigate to the following location:
   HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Seagull Scientific\BarTender\Preferences
3. Add the a new key to this folder with the following information (note that registry keys are case sensitive):
   Type: String
   Name: Display Metafiles with LeadTools
   Value: Yes
   
4. Close and reopen BarTender
