Printing Usage and Print Settings in BarTender Cloud

This article discribes how to review your BarTender usage and Print Settings from within BarTender Cloud.

BarTender Usage
This interface allows users to review their usage of BarTender Cloud.
To access the Usage screen, follow these steps:
- Click the Hamburger menu in the top left of the screen.
- Select Manage Cloud Account at the bottom of the list.
- Select Usage in the list on the left-hand side.
The top portion of the Usage tab shows the number of printed items used in the current month as well as amount of storage space currently being used.
The Storage usage is displayed on the right side, with the current usage being shown against the total amount of storage allotted to your BarTender Cloud tenant space.
Below this, you can view the usage statistics of your BarTender Cloud account.
The usage chart shows the number of printed items for a specified period. The dropdown list provides parameters for adjusting the data displayed in the chart.
The dropdown on the left lets you choose between:
- Printed Items: Shows you the number of items printed by month. You can select the duration of time viewed via the dropdown menu on the right.
- Monthly Details: Shows you the number of items printed by day. You can select the month via the dropdown menu on the right.
- Storage Space Used: Shows you a breakdown of the storage space being used in you Cloud account by storage type — Printed Items, Print History, and Librarian. No right-hand dropdown menu is available when this option is selected.
Below that, the Print Usage by Month list enumerates the total number of prints for each month.
When Storage Space Used is selected above, this space comes with a Storage Space Usage list.
Print Settings
Click the Print Settings button at the top of the Usage page to get to the Print Settings page:
Print settings are divided into 3 sections:
- Print Settings: Configure BarTender Cloud behaviour at print time.
- Print History Retention Policy: Configure how long print history is stored.
- Reprint Settings: Configure Reprint restrictions.
Print Settings
- Automatically return to document selection after printing has completed.: By default Print Console will remain on the print options page after a print job is completed. Checking this option will return to the document selection instead.
- Skip print confirmation dialog.: By default BarTender Cloud will ask you to confirm your print job after initiating it. Checking this option will skip this step.
- Maximum preview images: Set the limit for the number of preview images that are generated when hitting the Preview button on the print options page.
- Save documents after printing: Like the equivalent option in the On-prem version of BarTender, this allows you to save any changes made to a btw file's data at print time.
- When a document is selected: Configure the BarTender Cloud behavior when selecting a file in Print Console. Print Console will either print the document immediately or open the print options page to configure the print job and manually initiate the print.
Print History Retention Policy
- Retain print job history for: Set the amount of time that print job information is retained.
- Retain print item history for: Set the amount of time that print item information is retained.
- Purge unwanted images after: Set the amount of time that images of printed items are retained.
Reprint Settings
Allow reprinting multiple copies: Specify whether a print job can be reprinted multiple times.
Allow reprinting to different printer than original: Specify whether the printer can be changed when reprinting.
