Mandatory Text Field

Is there a way to set up a mandatory text field?

I have set the data source property to a minimum of 4 characters & I receive an error message if it is less than 4 characters. ( which is what I want!)

But If the text field is left blank, then nothing happens & it will print with nothing in the field. I tried to enter a VB script, to cancel printing but am not at all familiar with VB scripting so it is not working. ARGH

  I believe this could be easily achieved via Conditional Printing. I would recommend reviewing our article on an Introduction to Conditional Printing, as it goes through the many implementations this feature offers. Mainly, the "When to Print" feature could prove useful to you:

  Hi Shannon

  If it is a simple prompt at print time, if you tick the box 'Warn when minimum not met' then Bartender will not progress past the prompt without correcting, this is in Bartender 2022, may be different in older versions.

  

   

  When I try to print blank this just gives a 'Red x' and will not progress.
