Drop-Down Data Entry, Open Blank

Hello,

 

I have a data entry form with 8 drop-down data entries. I have the drop down list linked to an external database (excel). When I open the document on print station I want to the dropdown menus to be blank. However it always selects the first entry from the database and fills this in. Is there a way to stop this happening?

My default data entry option is Use Specified Value and the Value is blank. But it still selects the first option when opening on print station.
