Does your label include either a graphic or a non resident font for any of the text fields (such as a Windows font) as these are sent down as graphics to the printer.

Sometimes barcodes can be too if the format is non standard or more advanced than some firmware for models of the printer in use, although I have only come across with this 2D codes personally. .

Hi Jagadeesh! Thanks for reaching out to us.

Jagadeesh, the special characters you're seeing is 'rasterized code', typically caused by the items Pete mentioned in the above post, but can also be caused by other objects on your label - it also depends on the Object Print Method values you've set, when printing (by default, they're set to 'auto'). If you'd like to take a closer look at these values, you can go to File>Print>Object Print Method tab.

If you continue to see rasterized code, consider opening a ticket with support at Get Support.

Thanks!

Thanks @Pete Thane and @Al Perez for your responses. I just tried to print the sample label(odette) provided by the bartender. I looked at Object Print Method tab and all are set to auto. Please help me to understand better and resolve this issue. I am attaching the image of the sample label too.

The sample Odette label is using a True Type font for the text objects, namely Arial Narrow which is why those data fields are being sent to the printer in graphical form.

To remove this you would either need to change the selected font to one that is resident in the printer (ie one of the Intermec fonts) or, if possible, you would need to download the Arial Narrow font via the printer driver to the device, saving it into a non volatile section of memory of your machine, so that BarTender can reference this when it creates the PRN/label files.
