Image not printing, in any form
Ik have a template that prints several embedded images, except one, which has been added later. Images that I have added 2 days ago work fine, only this particular image will not print, even when set to Always. I tried different images, but they all fail to print. The image is rotated 270 degrees, as are other images that do print. I also tried different image types, such as .png and .jpg. Could it be that printing of this omage is blocked because of a limit in number of images?
The errormessage in BarTender history is this: Time Severity Message
06/07/2023 16:10:09.718 Error The following script error occurred: OnNewRecord(Line 1): : The object Picture ZReady was not found. Which is strange, as the image is placed in the same folder where the .BTW file is located and I have verified that the image file is actually there. What am I missing here?
Regards, Rob

Is the file extension included in the field name as you need to specify this too?
If not you could add it ad a Database object and once you have configured the field and location then adjust the setting to Data Source and then amend the Data Source to add the file extension suffix (.jpg etc)

I can add the picture as an Embedded Picture via the From File option and the picture is shown in the template.
I can edit the properties, save, anything what I can do to a picture, but when I try to print the template from I-Make, BarTender registers the following error:
Time Status Description
06/12/2023 11:48:09.373 Error BarTender Error: See Job MessagesTime Severity Message
06/12/2023 11:48:09.185 Error The following script error occurred: OnNewRecord(Line 1): : The object Picture ZReady was not found. This is strange, since the image name is PictureZReady.png.
My remark to the remark that I should add the image extension: I do not have that option.
I can select the file and BarTender adds it to the Embedded Picture position. WITHOUT the extension.Somehow the system believes there is an object with a similar name that cannot be found.
Which is logical, because there is no image with a space in its name.But... even if I rename the image to "Picture ZReady.png" the error msg remains the same.
So... what the ***** is going on here?

UPDATE:
I was able to use the exact same image in another template and it printed, just like that!
So, I went back to the annoying template, tried all settings I could think of: Embedded image, linked to an external file, as a data source... all the same error!
So I renamed the image and tried again: same disappointing result!
My conclusion: it is NOT the image, but the template.
Somehow, somewhere there is some code that limits the amount of images or something to this effect.I could try with a blank template, see if that works...
Will let you know, still would be pleased if some-one can tell me what is the matter.

UPDATE
So, I used a new template, without any images.
I created the image, changed the name in the leftpanel, so it was specifically named, set Print when on Always (which is the default setting)
LO and BEHOLD:
The sticker printed!
Without errors!
Without the image!

How big is the image file?

Size: 147 KB (151,522 bytes), so that should not be a problem, it is a black and white image .png

Very strange.
Could you try either creating a new template with just the images on it and then use the Edit>Select All option or else just select the images on your existing label and the use the File>Export Image option and save the whole picture. If you open it in a picture viewer does it show the above image too? If so try adding that picture to the label (removing the other images first) and see if that prints.

Thank you and I did try that and it works! BUT not in the template where it needs to go. Totally Frustrating

ok, UPDATE: it seemed that the picture-object had the name picture 1. Once I renamed that to Picture ZReady, the error about the missing object disappeared. BUT the picture still did NOT print.
I have made screenprints from the properties, maybe that helps? Can I upload a Word .doc?

No you cannot embed a word document but you can add a PDF as an image if that helps.
If the image prints in a different template but not the original I would suggest you need to recreate your template from scratch as it could be the issue is the file is corrupted in some way and that is what is stopping the logo from printing

Nothing jumps put at me from there.
May sound a daft suggestion but try moving the image so it is right in the middle of the label and see what that does. I remember seeing something with certain printers where if a graphic was right on the edge of the label it was not printed

Already tried that, tried several positions, sizes, changed printing conditions, removed conditions, still doesn't print. I am at the point of telling the department it can not be done in this template and that a toally new, blank template has to be made. Which is not an issue, just a lot of work, since there is a lot a info to be put in the template.
