    Hi Gary,

The delay you are experiencing when accessing the URL and selecting a label in the Print Portal could be caused by various factors. Here are a few troubleshooting steps you can take to investigate and potentially resolve the issue:

    • Check Network Connectivity: Ensure that the servers hosting Print Portal and Librarian have a stable network connection. Look for any network congestion, latency issues, or firewall settings that might be causing delays in communication.

    • Verify Server Performance: Monitor the performance of the servers hosting Print Portal and Librarian. Keep an eye on CPU, memory, and disk usage to see if any resource constraints are causing delays when loading labels.

    • Optimize Database Performance: BarTender Librarian relies on a database to store label information. Ensure that the database server is running smoothly and optimized for performance. Look for any performance bottlenecks or issues that might be affecting the loading speed of labels.
    • Analyze Logs: Examine the logs of the Print Portal, BarTender Librarian, and any relevant system logs. Look for any error messages or warnings that could provide insights into the source of the delay.

    • Update Software: Make sure both the Print Portal and BarTender Librarian software is up to date with the latest patches and updates. Software updates can often address performance issues and improve overall stability.

    • Seek BarTender Support: As performance issues can be difficult to troubleshoot, we would recommend reaching out to our Technical Support team. If you have an active Maintenance and Support agreement with us, you could access our Get Support page and enter your Support Number, this will automatically check your support status and provide you with links to your available lines of support. Also, please be sure to have your BarTender Support Number with you ready when you reach us as our technicians will have to check on your license and see what the status is from our side.

Remember to backup any critical data before making changes or updates to the system configuration, and it's always a good practice to test changes in a controlled environment before implementing them in a production setting.
