    1) You can just add an image to the label and adjust the transparency to get the desired effect. In the image below I have added the picture on to a separate layer to the barcode but you dont need to do this. I have used a fixed/embedded image but you can make it dynamic by adding it as a data sourced object or from a database etc.

     

    2) Yes, if you print to a colour printer then it will print in colour. BarTender will print to any printer you have connected that has a Windows printer driver and Seagull have created drivers for a large number of different printers including various colour label printers such as CAB (two ribbons), VIP and Epson etc. but you can also use the manufacturers own drivers too for devices that Seagull have not created drivers for.
