Print Portal Viewing Error
Hi All, We recently got a request from one of the client for mobile printing of labels. That's when we installed the Bartender Print Portal and tried to work way out for the client. Though we were able to achieve a localhost connection from the server PC and are able to see the list of files present on local host through the browser however we are unable open the .btw files and view them individually or print them using printer connect to the server itself. We either get a BarTender Print Scheduler timeout error or a loading sign but the page does not lead for ages. Anyone came across similar situation and found a way out?? Please help.

Hi Kiran,
Thank you for reaching us with your query. Generally speaking, issues such as these are related to your network configuration; that being said, we can offer some general suggestions that might help you troubleshoot the issue:-
Check Network Configuration: Ensure that the network configuration is correct and that there are no firewall or network settings blocking the communication between the server and the client devices. Make sure both the server and client devices are on the same network.
-
Server Resources: Check the server's resources (CPU, memory, disk space) to make sure it's not overloaded. If the server is struggling to handle the requests, it might lead to timeout errors or slow performance.
-
Server Logs: Check the server logs for any error messages or warnings that could give you more information about the issues you're encountering. This could provide insights into what's going wrong.
-
File Format and Size: Make sure that the .btw files you're trying to open are not corrupted and are of a reasonable size. Large or corrupted files might cause loading issues.
-
Software Updates: Ensure that both the Bartender Print Portal software and the Bartender software itself are up-to-date. Sometimes, updates can fix compatibility issues or bugs. You can find our latest revisions for your BarTender version here.
-
Printer Configuration: Verify that the printer connected to the server is properly configured in Bartender and that there are no issues with the printer itself. If there's a problem with the printer, it could impact the printing process.
-
Browser Cache and Cookies: Clear your browser's cache and cookies, or try accessing the Bartender Print Portal from a different browser or device to see if the issue persists.
- Restart Services: Try restarting the Bartender services on the server to see if that resolves the issue. Sometimes, services might hang or experience issues that a restart can fix.
Hopefully some of these recommendations will do the trick, if not, feel free to reach us again.
