Selected Printer cannot show the required dialog
I am in the process of moving from Bartender 2016 to the 2022. I created a new server with the latest version installed and copied the existing working integration builder files over. I added the same printer with the same driver that functions correctly with the old version. When I drop a file in the watch folder, I get an error that the print job did not complete due to the following error: The selected printer cannot show the required dialog. The printer is Zebra GX420t label printer running off a print server. The printer doesn't have any dialog capabilities but shouldn't need to for printing this simple label.

Can you print the same label to the printer via BarTender Designer or does that throw up an error too?
As the printer is a networked device I wonder if it is a permissions issue. BarTender 2022 is far more "permissions hungry" than 2016 ever was and by default the Integration will run using the Local System account credentials and these may not be sufficient to access network devices. You can easily rule this out however via configuring some different credentials to use via the Integration tab in Integration Builder and then use the Test feature.

Bingo! As soon as I provided network credentials it started working. Thanks for the help.

While doing a trial and sample development in C# , I'm getting the same "the selected printer cannot show the required dialog" error.
I've installed Bartender2022, using an administrator level user, on a WindowsServer2019 Datacenter edition VM.
This happens with the basic "LabelPrint" sample, while printing to a "Microsoft PDF" printer, while printing to real printers seems to work correctly.
I should get a request for the PDF filename, correct ?
I've tried also to allow full security management permissions on the "Microsoft PDF" printer properties/security tab,
and launch VisualStudio2022 with "Run as administrator"

Can you make any advice here ?
Maybe it's not related to permissions, but a different issue, being a print engine ?

I am not sure what would be causing the dialog box from appearing, and it maybe something in the driver itself that is preventing this.
However, do you need to specify the file name etc at print time or could you have this set automatically? If the latter have you tried using the inbuilt BarTender PDF driver and have the settings in the label preconfigured?
My Microsoft Print to PDF driver isnt working for some reason (that's another task to look at on my list of things to do!) so I can't check the settings in that and I am not sure if there is something similar in there.
