You need to open the BarTender label in the newer version of BarTender and then use the File>Save As option and save it in the version of BarTender that links to your Label Shop program.
Although BarTender is backwards compatible it is not forwards compatible automatically and so you need to make sure, where you are printing with an older version of BarTender, that you save any labels as this version so that they maybe opened.
