Pass The Trigger File Name To The Vb Script In The Label File

This is not possible to do directly, as there is no format property that exposes the path/filename of the connected data file in which the VB script is running.  I suppose you could get Commander to write this into the trigger file using an action transform and save, and thus the VB script in the BarTender document could then read in this value.  A bit convoluted but should work I suppose.

Can you tell me for what reason you need such functionality?

Thanks. I don't quite get what you suggested. The reason that I need the data from the trigger file is that I'm trying to print header (address) info and multiple line information on a single label using the sample code from Seagull. The difference is that my trigger files (text file) are dynamically generated with different names. My VB script works with a static file name, but I need to dynamically retrieve the information from the trigger file. Hope this is clear to you.

    Thanks,
