Label Printing Automation For Ecommerce Websites
We have an ecommerce website based on PHP programming language and mySQL database and receive hundreds of order everyday. We need to automate our label printing for all the address labels. We are planning to buy the Bartender software to achieve this as it has database connectivity options. We need to make our website communicate with our label printer (we own a Zebra Label Printer) through Bartender or its windows drivers and automatically print address label for each order along with the respective ordered item names from our website backend on click of a button. We use a browser like Firefox to access our website.
We are totally new to printing labels and would like to know how we can achieve this, what resources we would need and what API or drivers our developers need to look for? Also what version of Bartender would be suitable for this?

I would suggest you look at using the Commander middleware application to work on the back-end along side BarTender. Commander can be used to detect delimited text data files, or XML files being produced from your site, using them as triggers to produce print jobs at the server location. Commander make such integration easy as less, if any, coding would be required on your behalf.
Commander requires at least the Automation edition. If you need to scale up your implementation or support XML then the Enterprise Automation edition is required.
The below white papers act as a good introduction:

I have installed a trial version of Bartender with Automation mode but unable to find out the commander application. Can you let me know where to look for the commander application?

In BarTender select the "Tools>Commander" menu option. If it's not there then you didn't install it. Run the installer again, choose to modify the BarTender Suite installation, and this time select the Commander component.
