Retain Info Through Print Jobs?
So I have a label that has about half a dozen fields. I need a way to retain this info so it is filled in with the same previous data the next time the user uses the Print Station. What is the best way to do this? Is there a way to store these fields automatically to the BarTender program or database, or do I need to set the datatasource to save the info out to an external source? I don't want to use a completely different table/database just for a single label, so if I need to use an external source, what kind of file can I use (like a .txt file or Excel)? It needs to let me update the file if a user changes the info before printing.

When you mention fields, do you mean data sources in label objects that are set to prompt the user at print time via a data entry form? If yes then edit the data source via the label object properties, select the "Transforms" tab, and in the "Data Entry Control" properties, tick the "Update data source after print" checkbox.
