To foresee any potential hiccups we would need to know your Product Key Code in order to consult our activation server for the current state of your license. As this is sensitive information that you shouldn't share on a public forum I invite you to send a technical support email request to the regional office that serves your country.

    http://www.seagullscientific.com/aspx/contact_us.aspx

In general, to move a license please take a look at the below information:

To move a license from one PC to another you will first need to deactivate it. To deactivate the license simply select the "Help>Activation Wizard" menu item in License Server and follow the on screen instructions. If the direct internet deactivation does not work, all you need do is select either of the other two options such as deactivate via website or by telephone. Selecting either of these will then display the deactivation code in the dialog.

The deactivation code should be entered into either of the below deactivation websites for deactivation to be complete. Alternatively, send it to us by email so we can deactivate it for you.

    http://license1.seagullscientific.com/deactivate/

    or

    http://license2.seagullscientific.com/deactivate/

To activate the software simply select the "Help>Activate this software" menu item in License Server and follow the on screen instructions.

If direct via internet activation either doesn't work or is not possible, all you need do is select either of the other two options such as activate via website or by telephone. Selecting either of these will then display the dialog with the PKC and the Installation Identification Code (IIC), the IIC is a finger print of the hardware in the PC. It is these two codes that act as an input which generates the Product Activation Code (PAC) that activates the software.

If you have the PKC and IIC you can get a PAC from either of the below websites:

    or

    http://license2.seagullscientific.com/activate/

For more information on Activation please read the white paper at the below link.

I can't deactivate the license server on web site
    http://license1.seagullscientific.com/deactivate/ or http://license2.seagullscientific.com/deactivate/

Always get an error code "invalid deactivation code"

My problem is the computer crashed and is not possible to fix, therefore I can't deactivate the server and I can't active on new computer.
    What do I do?

How are you generating a deactivation code from the deactivation wizard if the computer is crashed??  Not sure what code it is that you are entering, but it certainly won't be the deactivation code.

At this stage you will need to contact technical support directly, sending to the appropriate region's office.  This can only be solved by divulging information, such as your license code, which is not appropriate for public viewing.  See below for contact details:

If I deactivate the Lic. Code from an 2016 Installation - can I user the generated Code to activate the 2019 Version ?
And will the Printing be available during the deactivation and the activation time during the meantime? I Think the License deaktiviertes after 10 Days? We are an 24*7 Industrie which means I have no time for downtimes...

I assume you want a smooth version update from your current BarTender 2016 to current (2022) BarTender?

The answer to your first question is no, and the second is no but you shouldn't do it this way in any case.

Basically you'd first need to have your license covered by an active software maintenance, then download and install new BarTender on a new server, and activate it using Provisional Activation (https://support.seagullscientific.com/hc/en-us/articles/360022609473-What-is-provisional-activation-How-do-I-provisionally-activate-my-software- ) thereby running two License Servers in parallel for your two BarTender version environments.

This Support Center article on updating BarTender should also be informative: https://support.seagullscientific.com/hc/en-us/articles/4783855110935-Updating-to-BarTender-2022
