Bartender System Service Error 1052 Follow

Hi All,

I have installed Bartender Automation Edition 10.0 on Windows 7 Ultimate,

but I have problem with Bartender System Service that is not started.

I attach the message "Error 1053: The service did not respond...". I tried also  to register with bartend.exe /register command

receiving no error but nothing has changed. The application Bartender run ok but the other like "Batch Maker" or

"Print Console" are very slow to start. Also the use of SDK to print a simple lable file by

.net application made using Visual Studio 2012 is very slow to start.

Have you any Idea?

Thank you.

Is it possible that you have logged on Windows under an account with enough permission to run the service?

Please browse to the Service Properties and click on "Log On" tab. Check if the service is logged as the Local System Account or under a specific account. If it's logged under the Local System Account please make it log on under a specific domain account with enough permission. If there is already a specific domain account, make sure that it has enough permission and reinsert the password if it's necessary.

BarTender is a native Windows application developed in C++ and MFC (Microsoft Foundation Class). However, some of Bartenders’ functions are based on .NET Framework 2.0 technology.  For any .NET Framework 2.0 application if the above security setting is enabled, it can cause BarTender, License Server or any BarTender Suite service to start slowly or to not start at all.

One solution to this problem is to change the following "Internet Option":  from the "Start>Control Panel>Internet Options" item, under the "Advanced" tab, disable the "Check for publisher's certificate revocation" option. This setting is a per user setting and will only apply to the current user the BarTender System Service is logged in as.

If BarTender System Service is currently running under the "Local System Account", run the "1053_Fix" attached to this email, which will disable the same setting automatically in the registry. Make sure to rename the file .zip, then unzip the file and run the registry modifier.
