Reset Of 30 Days Grace Period
Hello Support,
our License Server 9.3 SR2 shows the warning message "maximum number of printers exceeded since 30 days", also we have used max. number of 15 printers per 7 days during last 30 days. Shouldn't the message reset itself? I already tried to restart the license server service. I have seen this message also some weeks ago, so I'm not sure if we really once used more then 30 printers once during the last months. When I had a look at the license server I have always seen a number of about 15 printers max. usage and we never noticed a problem during printing. What else can we try to reset the warning message?
Sorry, screenshot is only with german messages:

Hello Markus,
The printers from the Seagull License Server (SLS) will disappear automatically after not being used for 7 days, if you've got printers listed that haven't been used for that time period, you probably have the "Keep" option activated; make sure to deactivate it to have this printers disappear.
How many printers can you see in your SLS after removing the "Keep" option? Could you send me a screenshot of your printer list?
Thanks!

Hello Fernando,
I didn't found a way how to attach a file when sending a private message, so I decided to upload the whole SLS screen with masking some details. As you can see at the moment it shows only 11 printers and we do not have option "keep" activated. So we have used only 11 printers during last 7 days, but it still shows this warning message about the license also we have 30 printers licensed.
Regards
Markus

Hello Markus,
If you do a full server reboot, will the issue still persist?

Hi I seem to have this exact same problem.
We moved to a new server, and because of that all our printers got duplicated.
It has been 2 about 2 months now, but we still cannot use the 30 day grace period for
the occasional time we need to print to an extra printer that is out of license.
I tried to deactivate the License server which runs on the new server (only License server, no other bartender options installed)
And I tried to de/re activate Bartender on 1 client computer. Should I have done this last step on all client computers ?
Regards,
Rob

What exact version and build of BarTender is in use? Please check this both for BarTender and Seagull License Server under the "Help > About" dialog.
Could I get a screenshot of the "Used Printer List" from Seagull License Server?

Have you been printing to the Zebra printer for more than 30 days? If yes, then it is expected that you cannot print anymore to this printer because it exceeds your printer licenses.
Please upgrade BarTender to v10.1 SR3:
http://www.seagullscientific.com/label-software/fixes_101.aspx
Furthermore, please install Seagull drivers for your Zebra printers instead. Only with Seagull drivers you will be able to fully make use of the printer optimizations when you combine our drivers with BarTender:

No I believe we have not been printing longer than 30 days to this printer.
But should this be the case when will the 30 days grace period be reset ? After 30 days ?
I will upgrade to SR3.
About the Zebra drivers, the printers that use the Universal driver are 2 laserprinters that only have the job
of printing simple freightnotes, so no need for us to change drivers.
We also use these printers for Microsoft Office.

In order to reset the grace period, you simply have to go 7 consecutive days without using more printers than your BarTender license normally allows. More details here:
Are you saying that you won't be using the Zebra printer with BarTender or that you don't use a Zebra printer at all? If you're wanting to use a Zebra driver with BarTender, it is recommended to install the Seagull drivers instead.

Well, I just came back from a 14 day vacation, and the message still isn't gone.
I set the 5 most used printers to 'Keep' before I left, but it has not helped.
The Zebra, Datamax and Avery printer we use, do use the Seagull drivers, only the 2 laserprinters do not.

Did you already upgrade to 10.1 SR3 before leaving on vacation? Otherwise, this is the first step you will need to take. After this has completed, please contact tech-support and we will provide you with a trial extension code so that you can continue printing labels and help with the troubleshoot of the problem:
