Does bartender support chip-based serialization?

e.g. SGTIN96: Read the TID from the chip, apply a formula and then encode it back in the serial# section of the EPC.

Thanks

Unfortunately this is not currently supported by BarTender and our printer drivers. We have in fact been asked for such functionality before, and it is in our wish list for development, but to date this has not yet been implemented. This feature is of growing importance to us, so hopefully we will support it sooner rather than later.

There are no workarounds that I’m aware of that can get around the limitation as the main problem is getting back a response from the printer, which contains the unique ID value, and then using that in a BarTender print job. Such functionality would require new features and changes in both BarTender and printer drivers in order to be supported.
