Skip Data Entry Fields After First Print Follow

For some reason they made something like this possible if you're connected to a database by changing the dropdown of your data entry control between "Once at the start of print job" or "Every Record"
You could fudge this functionality by connecting your file to a "dummy" datafile that simply just counted or something off-screen.
Hi , sorry still struggling, I connected a dummy excel file , with no entries is this what you mean ?? Then when I add it to the field that only has to be changed once it doesn't allow me to change the dropdown control "Once at the start of print job" or "Every Record" anymore because it refers to the database.
I got the same effect with data in the dummy file.
When I not connect to any field on the form it still doesn't skip the data entry field when I come back in the data entry screen even when I change the dropdown control to "Once at the start of print job" it reacts like before and I have to go through the field again.
Maybe I misunderstand what you mean , can you please try again and explain more specific ??
Here is an example. You will have to remove the database link I had set up and re-link the "fake data file"
Then, when you print, instead of specifying a quantity to print you have to specify a range in the data file for your quantity. This causes the prompt to act as desired (first 2 lines only prompt at start of job)
Thank you very much for your help ! This was a good advise !!
