Problem Encoding Rfid Tags Follow
Hello,
I am trying to encode an RFID tag using a Toshiba B-EX4t1-G (with installed RFID module). Although i can read the EPC of the tag, i cannot write to it (always get a "RFID write error" on the display). Is there any way to use a hotspot function to determine the offset value?

ModeratorHello George15677,
Please note that the EPC segments needs to contain 16 hex characters (for 64 bit values), 24 hex characters (for 94 bit values) or 50 hex character (for 198 bits). Any value outside of the previous number of hex characters will give you an error.
For a different data sizes you'll need to use the User tag instead.
Regards.
thank you Fernando for your response. I am using 24 Hex characters. In the past i have used Avery and Zebra RFID printers for various applications. It is the first time i am using a Toshiba and i cant seem to make it work. Do you have a sample .pnl file with RFID lets say for a label dimension 98mmX12mm, just to try it?

Hi George15677,
You need to check that everything is installed properly:
RFID module has different configurations for different label sizes
EX4T1 can works with a ribbon saver module to set the inlay on the right place to encode it.
You have different ways to work on RFID with TOSHIBA, offset with or without backfeed and no offset
Thanks. Regards

Hello Juanjo
Both the RFID module and the ribon saver have been installed by toshiba dealer. But looking into the manual i notice that i dont have the B-EX RFID analyze tool software. Is there a way i can have it, do i need to order it extra?

Hi George15677,
It´s cost free and it´s not on a public website, you should contact with your Toshiba dealer
Thanks
