Delete Preffix Follow

Hello everybody ,

I print some fields through an sql database.
In one field I have a preffix . If this field in null I want not print the preffix.

Can anybody provide me with the proper vb script function or any other proposal ?

Don't do it as a prefix, do it as a separate substring. Then under 'Transforms' then 'suppression' you can do 'suppress if next data source is empty'.

Don't do it as a prefix, do it as a separate substring. Then under 'Transforms' then 'suppression' you can do 'suppress if next data source is empty'.

Go into the object, select the 'data source' tab, then on the bottom right there's a button, it will either say 'Basic' or 'Advanced'. If it's set to 'Advanced' click it once to change it to 'Basic'.

Then in the 'SubString List' selection on the left, you'll want to either click in the empty space below the currently listed objects or select the 'new' button at the bottom of the page. Set the data source to 'Screen Data', then put the data that you want reflected in there for the prefix. Click the 'move up' arrow at the bottom to move it to the beginning of the sub-string list. Then go into the data source tab for that object, select 'more options', then in the 'general' tab check the box that says 'hide when XXX string is empty', and change the field to 'next'.
